**Marcus Norgaard** (born 311) is a figure of the C9 universe, recorded as homo sapiens / strain 33a chimera[1], one of the young people who formed the House of Confidence on Aerogaea 347n[2]. He came out of time-displaced construct (sent by "confidence") and terrestrial adaptation[1].

Marcus is recorded for 33a hybrid physiology (elasticity & growth)[1]. His muscle and skin are non-Newtonian. Under sudden stress, the tissue hardens; under slow stress, it stretches. He is a human shock absorber. Under adrenaline he his body does not fatigue in the traditional sense. It converts combat stress into increased muscle density. The longer the fight, the stronger he becomes. His size his sheer surface area functions as a physical shield for smaller allies. His geometry lets him wield axechucks — momentum-based weapons that would dislocate a normal person's shoulder.[1]

## Early life

Marcus Norgaard was born in year 311[2]. He was 19 years old in 330, the year the Klak Grove was destroyed. The records give his origin as time-displaced construct (sent by "confidence") / terrestrial adaptation[1]. His development is recorded as extended vitality (33a dna slows cellular decay, allowing him to maintain "prime" physique longer than baseline humans)[1].

## Guardian of the squad (330–339)

His standing at this time was guardian of the squad / survivalist. Physically, "The Titan." Jacked, defined, but covered in fresh scars. What defines him in this period is c9. He is their father, mother, and wall.[1]

## Field leader (340–349)

His standing at this time was field leader / master craftsman. Physically, heavier. The definition softens into "Powerlifter" bulk (Functional Mass). The "3" tattoo is stretched over massive deltoids. What defines him in this period is Eevi. The record notes (Partner/Spouse dynamic). He is learning to let someone guard him.[1]

## Later years (350 onward)

His standing at this time was workshop master / advisor. Physically, his hair is gray, but the 33A DNA prevents muscle atrophy. He moves slower, but hits harder. What defines him in this period is watching the children he raised surpass him.[1]

His perception runs standard / reactive. He does not see slow motion, but his hyperthymesia lets him instantly reference every fight he has ever had, predicting enemy movements from pattern. He reads body language he reads micro-expressions and tension instantly. His pain reception is manually severed — trauma response. He feels pressure and temperature but not pain. He operates on instrument flight rules: intellectually calculating damage he cannot feel. After a fight he audits hisself: because he has no pain signal, he runs a conscious visual check after every fight. He is looking for blood, shivering (shock), pallor. He treats his own survival as a logistical problem. In diagnosis, when treating a patient, his hyperthymesia retrieves his own matching injury from memory. He doesn't feel their pain; he relives his own. This makes him a fast, precise surgeon who fixes quickly to end the flashback. His recall is perfect autobiographical record. Marcus studies medicine to master the thing that ruined him (Pain). He fixes others not just out of kindness, but to silence the "noise." A screaming patient triggers his own torture memories; a healed, quiet patient allows him to close the file and find peace. Early in life he held to a lie about hisself: "If I am the strongest thing in the room, no one I love will get hurt." / "I don't need help; help is for the weak.". Later he came to hold the opposite: "A wall that stands alone eventually crumbles. Even the strongest need a foundation." He isn't just a wall; he is the mason who maintains it. He treats his body with the same cold, professional care he gives his weapons—not out of vanity, but out of necessity. As a young man, his voice was boisterous, loud, "Bro-energy" to cover the trauma. In his prime it became warm, deep, reassuring. The voice of a father figure. In old age it turned gravelly, soft, and infrequent. He speaks in proverbs and grunts.[1]
